Weight Loss with Calcium

When I moved to San Diego I wanted to experience the outdoors, the beach, and the weather. I thought it would be a really good
opportunity to get back in shape. I had to choose a diet and combine it with regular excercise so I could lose weight.
Many different weight loss diets have been created, and it is hard to choose which method is optimal. People are willing to try anything to
lose weight. Some of these techniques can be unhealthy while others can significantly benefit your body. The Atkins diet, for example, can
be a dangerous diet because it requires eating only meat. The long term effect of eating meat will deteriorate your health. There have
been some other studies, however, that suggest eating certain foods can result in significant weight loss. Eating foods high in calcium
have been reported to help people lose weight.
Recently there have been some articles which suggest that calcium intake can help people lose weight. Studies have shown that drinking milk
or eating dairy products will decrease hormonal levels of calcitriol. Having excess calcitriol hormones causes fat cells to expand. I
have personally tried a "calcium intake" diet and am happy to report that it does help one lose weight.
I began by buying skim milk, and I drank a cup daily each morning. I weighed 185lbs when I started my new "diet". I drank milk for several
days while exercising at the same time. My stomach fat seemed to shrink slowly day by day. Just to make sure my mind wasn't playing tricks on
me, I weighed myself again and the scale read 183lbs. I lost two pounds in five days. Note that I didn't change my eating or exercising habits.
The only change was drinking skim milk daily.
Drinking a lot of skim milk has disadvantages. My face began to breakout in pimples. I haven't had a breakout in years. I am led to believe
that the skim milk was causing my acne because that was the only variable that had changed. Milk has a lot of hormones and it was causing my
skin to be oily. I enjoyed the fact that milk helped me to lose weight, but my face was more important.
So instead of drinking milk, I started to buy orange juice fortified with calcium. I drank OJ for a while and it appeared to have the same
effects as skim milk. Calcium is calcium no matter what medium it is in. I eventually switched to low acid orange juice because the acidity
was causing heartburn. Too much acidic orange juice will burn the epithelial lining of your esophagus or your stomach.
Drinking fluids fortified with calcium is healthy and can complement weight loss. Eating calcium combined with daily exercise can benefit
your health and make you feel healthier. I would recommend this diet since it is simple, but I would be careful in drinking too much of one
fluid since it can have negative side effects.
