The charts and map below were created by using the Garmin Forerunner 305 GPS Watch

Below is a map that shows the route that the plane takes for the sky dive. The plane took off near Otay Ranch and ascended to 9, 800 feet towards and over the Pacific Ocean. The plane then turned back inland for the sky dive jump.

During the jump, my heart rate jumped to 205 beats/sec! Talk about an adrenaline rush! According to the chart below, the jump took place at approximately 9, 800 feet. We free falled for about 6, 000 feet and the rest of the way down we had our chute opened.

Skydiving

Skydiving is an activity that everyone has to do at least once in their lifetime. Falling from the sky without training may sound a little crazy, but beginners can safely experience the thrills of freefall by jumping tandem. Tandem jumping is recommended for beginners since the professional does all of the work. Professional skydivers are latched directly on to newbies. The professional skydiver does the pulling and gliding of the parachute, and the beginner can experience what it is like to skydive.

At Pacific Coast Skydiving, the staff is very friendly. They perform many jumps a day and they are experts in what they do. They have an airplane that flies out to the coastal waters, which gives an excellent bird's eye view of beautiful San Diego.

Training consists of learning how to 'arch' your back. When you free fall you have to arch your back so that the jump stabalizes. They will teach you how to do this and it is very easy to learn.

We recommend that you call Pacific Coast Skydiving to make an appointment so that everything will go smoothly. If you pay a little more you can get a video of yourself jumping out of the plane. They will create a DVD for you of your skydive and add some music. It is definitely worth it!

Try skydiving in Pacific Coast San Diego! You will have a awesome view from the air and an experience you will never forget!
