Review : La Jolla Cove is one of the few places in the San Diego area that features "clear" under water visibility
almost year round. This means it is the perfect place for snorkeling and viewing ocean life such as crabs and star fishes. There is
a small beach area where people can enter the ocean waters or lay on to get a tan.
La Jolla Cove also features a small hiking trail with nice views of the ocean and the La Jolla coast. The trail is located in the
north part of La Jolla Cove.
On the south part of La Jolla Cove, there is an area where you can climb down some rocks and to get closer to the crashing waves
against the rocky shores. Don't get too close though or else you can get very wet.
Going further south, you will reach a mini park, with green grass, where you can set up a small picnic area or a family barbeque. On a nice weekend
day, be sure to come out early so that you can grab a spot where you can have a great view of the coves, coast, and ocean. It is definitely
worth the extra effort.
